Props Nut Scaffolding Prop Nut & Jack Nut

A Props Nut, also called a Jack Nut, is a heavy-duty threaded component used in Adjustable Scaffolding Props. It is fitted on the outer tube and allows smooth height adjustment of the inner tube by rotating the nut up or down.
NOVSA manufactures Props Nuts with precision threading and high-strength steel casting to ensure easy operation, long service life, and high load-bearing capacity.

Surface Finish for Props Nut

NOVSA Props Nuts are designed for heavy load-bearing applications and to withstand tough site conditions. To ensure durability and protection against corrosion, different surface finishes are offered.

Finish Type

Description

Advantage

Electro-Galvanized (EG)

Thin zinc coating applied via electroplating.

Smooth surface, cost-effective, good for standard use.

Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG)

Dipped in molten zinc for a thick protective layer.

Maximum corrosion resistance, ideal for outdoor & long-term projects.

Powder Coated / Painted

Painted or powder-coated in different colours.

Aesthetic finish, medium protection, economical.

Self-Colour (Black Steel)

Supplied without coating, natural steel finish.

Budget-friendly, suitable for short-term use.

All NOVSA Props Nuts are manufactured and tested according to BS 1139 & EN 74 standards, ensuring safety, strength, and global compatibility.

Standards for NOVSA Props Nut

Standard

Description

BS 1139

British Standard for scaffolding fittings & adjustable components, covering dimensions & safety.

EN 74

European Standard for forged fittings, couplers, and threaded components like prop nuts.

EN 12811

Defines performance requirements and load testing for temporary works equipment.

Each NOVSA Props Nut undergoes thread accuracy checks, load-bearing tests, and dimensional inspections before dispatch.

Material Grades for Props Nut
